Fundamentals of Design Thinking

Design thinking uses qualitative information to inform decision making. Rooted in the formal disciplines of design, the course works with core principles of creativity, discovery, curiosity, deferred judgment, process discipline and positive collaboration.

The ability to apply these principles is a distinguishing characteristic of Haas graduates, and students will gain experience using the design thinking process through hands-on learning, reading and team-based collaborative project work. The payoff of adding these methods to your toolkit is a more innovative mindset, and new frameworks that will be useful in tackling ambiguous and open ended challenges that characterize post-MBA work.
